The organization was initiated to address some of the social and economic problems that exist within our state of Manipur in general and the rural areas in particular. With the need to uplift the downtrodden section of our society and to assist them with their needs such as medical, financial, literacy or otherwise, the Humane Connect Foundation (HCF) came into being as a non-political, non-profitable voluntary organization and a registered body under the aegis of the Manipur Society Registration Act 1989 (Manipur Act I of 1990) bearing Registration No. 213/M/SR/2001 dated 6th October 2001. The Humane Connect Foundation was `established in the year 2001 and has completed 20 years of voluntary service dealing with different issues in different fields. The organization has fully strengthened with having PAN CARD bearing no. AACTH4587P. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has envisaged the National Oral Health Program [NOHP] for an affordable, accessible and equitable oral health care delivery in a well- coordinated manner for bringing about “optimal oral health” for all by 2020 with the below mentioned objectives.
* To improve the determinants of oral health
* To reduce morbidity from oral diseases
* To integrate oral health promotion and preventive services with general health care system
* To encourage Promotion of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) model for achieving better oral health.
As the pandemic is over the Humane Connect Foundation (HCF) has started conducting various social activities for the year 2022-2023. In this regard the HCF has conducted 2 days Free Mega Health Camp on 25th & 26th November 2022 at Liyai Khullen, Senapati District- Manipur for the benefits of healthcare of the villagers. The camp was attended by many specialized Doctor of different department. Large populations of the villagers were turned up and were successful in imparting basic healthcare knowledge for all the participants. The HCF also provides free medicines & supplements of the needful to the villagers. As part of the continuation of the activities the HCF also conducted a one day Dental Camp at our own Old Age Home, New Canaan Village along with the Team of Central Dental Clinic. More than 100 patients including the inmates of the home were diagnosed and treated. Necessary medicines and supplements were also distributed to the inmates.
As our name Humane reinforces the positive side of the humanity, we work towards giving care, support and organizing welfare for the destitute, and the ones neglected by the society. With core focus on the senior citizen, the HCF has successfully implemented on maintaining an Old-Age home at New Canaan, Ukhrul District for almost 4.5 years. As of today, there are 25 senior citizens (females) above the age of 60 residing currently |
